Katherine Waterston in Alien: Covenant
Actrice Katherine Waterston krijgt een rol in Alien: Covenant, de aankomende film van regisseur Ridley Scott. De actrice was eerder dit jaar te zien in Steve Jobs en is daarnaast te aanschouwen in aankomende Harry Potter spin-off Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.
Op 16 november maakte 20th Century Fox officieel de titel, synopsis en de release datum bekend van het vervolg van Prometheus. Alien: Covenant zal de eerste Alien prequel worden. De preproductie is nu in Australië in volle gang, het filmen gaat in maart 2016 beginnen. Alien: Covenant is door de studio als volgt omschreven:
“Ridley Scott returns to the universe he created in ALIEN with ALIEN: COVENANT, the second chapter in a prequel trilogy that began with PROMETHEUS — and connects directly to Scott’s 1979 seminal work of science fiction. Bound for a remote planet on the far side of the galaxy, the crew of the colony ship Covenant discovers what they think is an uncharted paradise, but is actually a dark, dangerous world — whose sole inhabitant is the “synthetic” David (Michael Fassbender), survivor of the doomed Prometheus expedition.”
Noomi Rapace en Michael Fassbender zullen wederom de rollen spelen van respectievelijk wetenschapper Elizabeth Shaw en de android David.
