Clash of the Titans 3 is geannuleerd

Aussie Perseus (Sam Worthington) zal voorlopig niet op het grote doek te zien zijn in Clash Of The Titans 3,het derde deel in de franchise. Producent Basil Iwanyk onthulde tegenover IGN dat de plannen voor een vervolg op Wrath of the Titans in de ijskast staan. Iwanyk zei:

“Not at this point, but you never know. In terms of Clash of the Titans 3, it’s one of those situations where we’ve seen it a million times; a movie will kind of float away and then come back when it’s supposed to come back. You’d think that there was three and a half, four years of nonstop Clash of the Titans activity, and I think it is, “Okay, what’s the new idea? How do you make it fresh?” You know, a lot of movies have come out in that world, including Immortals and 300. So there will be a time and place where someone will come up with a great idea for it and how to make it feel different and fresh from the previous ones.”

Het eerste deel Clash of the Titans (2010) haalde $493,2 miljoen wereldwijde op en het tweede deel bracht $305,2 miljoen op. Clash of the Titans is een film uit 2010 van regisseur Louis Leterrier. De hoofdrollen worden vertolkt door Sam Worthington, Liam Neeson, Ralph Fiennes, Alexa Davalos en Gemma Arterton. De film is een nieuwe versie van de gelijknamige film uit 1981.
